Vacation Pet Sitting

Book your trip knowing your dog is on vacation too — couch privileges, yard time, and someone who'll send you a daily photo so you can actually unplug.

Travel without the guilt.

Overview

Vacation sitting is in-home boarding designed around the realities of travel: long stays, time-zone differences, and the need to genuinely disconnect. We make it easy to step away without spending the week worrying.

You get one consistent point of contact who knows your dog by name from day one. No app-based dispatcher, no shift-by-shift caregiver swap, no surprise upcharges.

Who it's for

Vacationing families who want updates without anxiety and a dog who's happy at pickup.

Great fit
  • Week-long and multi-week vacations
  • International travel with time-zone gaps
  • Repeat travelers who want a familiar second home for their dog

What's included

  • Multi-day in-home boarding
  • Daily photo + text updates
  • Optional pickup and delivery
  • Free re-check consultations for repeat clients
  • Quiet messaging windows if you don't want updates while at dinner

How it works

  1. 1. Free consultation

We meet you and your dog in our home for about 30 minutes. You walk the space, see the yard, ask questions, and we watch how your dog settles in.

  2. 2. Reserve your dates

Once we've confirmed it's a fit, we hold your dates with a small deposit and send over a simple intake form covering food, meds, vet info, and routine.

  3. 3. Drop-off

Bring your dog, their food, and anything that smells like home. We'll do a final routine review and you're free to go — no long goodbyes needed.

  4. 4. Daily updates

Photo and text updates every day. Reach out anytime; we're happy to send more if you want them.

  5. 5. Pickup

Pick up a happy, exercised dog — or use our pickup & delivery service and we'll bring them home to you.

Why it works

  • You shouldn't be checking kennel-cam at dinner.
  • Dogs returned from real homes don't need a day of decompression.
  • Routine vacationers get priority booking and rate locks.

What to bring

  • Enough of your dog's regular food for the full stay, plus a day or two extra
  • Any medications in original containers with written instructions
  • Leash, collar or harness with current ID tags
  • A bed or blanket that smells like home (optional but loved)
  • 1–2 favorite toys or a chew
  • Vet contact info and proof of current vaccines (rabies, DHPP, Bordetella)

Pricing

Standard nightly rate with multi-night and repeat-client discounts. Holiday weeks are the same standard rate.

Frequently asked

Do you require a meet-and-greet?

Yes — every new client gets a free, no-pressure consultation. It's the only way for us (and your dog) to know it's the right fit.

Are you insured and bonded?

Yes. We carry pet-care liability insurance and are happy to share details at your consultation.

What if my dog needs medication?

Oral meds, eye drops, ear drops, and most injectables are included at no extra charge. Just bring the meds with clear instructions.

Do you take intact dogs?

Intact females are welcome outside heat cycles. Intact males are evaluated on a case-by-case basis at the consultation.
