Holiday Boarding
Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, and spring break fill up months in advance. We cap holiday headcount to keep care quality high.
Holidays book fast — reserve early.
Overview
Holiday weeks are when most boarding facilities are at their worst — packed, understaffed, and stressful. We go the opposite direction: same small headcount, same care, same calm house.
Returning clients get first option on holiday dates. New clients are welcome too, but the earlier you reach out, the better your odds of getting the week you need.
Who it's for
Families traveling for the holidays who want a calm home instead of a packed kennel.
- Holiday week travel (Thanksgiving, Christmas, NYE, spring break)
- Dogs who can't handle the noise of a peak-season kennel
- Owners who want a familiar setting during fireworks-heavy holidays
What's included
- Holiday week stays at standard rates (no surge pricing)
- Quiet home setting — no New Year's barking chaos
- Reservation deposit secures the dates
- Anti-anxiety routine during fireworks evenings
How it works
- 1. Free consultation
We meet you and your dog in our home for about 30 minutes. You walk the space, see the yard, ask questions, and we watch how your dog settles in.
- 2. Reserve your dates
Once we've confirmed it's a fit, we hold your dates with a small deposit and send over a simple intake form covering food, meds, vet info, and routine.
- 3. Drop-off
Bring your dog, their food, and anything that smells like home. We'll do a final routine review and you're free to go — no long goodbyes needed.
- 4. Daily updates
Photo and text updates every day. Reach out anytime; we're happy to send more if you want them.
- 5. Pickup
Pick up a happy, exercised dog — or use our pickup & delivery service and we'll bring them home to you.
Why it works
- Most kennels triple their headcount over holidays. We don't.
- Your dog gets the same care on Christmas Eve as any other Tuesday.
- Fireworks-aware care during NYE and July 4th.
What to bring
- Enough of your dog's regular food for the full stay, plus a day or two extra
- Any medications in original containers with written instructions
- Leash, collar or harness with current ID tags
- A bed or blanket that smells like home (optional but loved)
- 1–2 favorite toys or a chew
- Vet contact info and proof of current vaccines (rabies, DHPP, Bordetella)
Pricing
No holiday surcharge. A non-refundable deposit holds the dates; the balance is due at drop-off.

How far ahead should I book holidays?
We recommend 6–8 weeks for Thanksgiving and Christmas, 4 weeks for other holidays.
Do you handle firework-anxious dogs?
Yes — quiet rooms, white-noise machines, and we can administer any vet-prescribed calming meds you bring.
Do you require a meet-and-greet?
Yes — every new client gets a free, no-pressure consultation. It's the only way for us (and your dog) to know it's the right fit.
Are you insured and bonded?
Yes. We carry pet-care liability insurance and are happy to share details at your consultation.
What if my dog needs medication?
Oral meds, eye drops, ear drops, and most injectables are included at no extra charge. Just bring the meds with clear instructions.
Do you take intact dogs?
Intact females are welcome outside heat cycles. Intact males are evaluated on a case-by-case basis at the consultation.
