About

A small, family-run home for Denver dogs.

Personal Pet Care has run from our Southeast Aurora home since 2005. One family, one home, one consistent caregiver — that's the whole model.

We started Personal Pet Care because we couldn't find boarding that felt right for our own dogs. The big commercial kennels were loud, sterile, and rotating-staff. The hobbyist sitters were lovely but couldn't handle medication, special diets, or anxious dogs.

So we built what we wished existed: cage-free care in a real family home, with the same owner on-site overnight, every night. Headcount kept low on purpose. Photos every day. Free consultations because trust isn't something you can rush.

Two decades later, we're still doing it the same way — because it still works. Some of the families who booked with us in 2006 are now on their third dog with us.

What we stand for

The four ideas that have shaped every decision since 2005.

Small on purpose

Capping headcount at 2–4 dogs lets us actually know each dog instead of managing a crowd. We turn down bookings to keep this rule.

Slow trust

Free consultations exist because trust can't be rushed. Most of our long-term clients took two visits to commit. That's fine.

Honest fit

Cage-free isn't right for every dog. We say so when it isn't, and we name a place we'd send our own dog instead.

Boring reliability

We've answered the phone the same way for twenty years. The boring stuff is the whole point.
