Dog Training Services
Positive-reinforcement training integrated into your dog's stay — or as a standalone service. We focus on real-world skills your dog can use the day they get home.
Training that travels home with your dog.
Overview
We train the way dogs actually learn: with clear rewards, well-timed feedback, and lots of practice in the environments where you actually need the behavior.
All of our training is force-free. No prong collars, no e-collars, no leash corrections — just structured reinforcement and a plan that fits your household.
Who it's for
Dogs of any age needing manners, recall, leash skills, or confidence-building.
- Adolescent dogs going through the 'forgot everything' stage
- Newly adopted dogs settling into a home
- Dogs whose owners want skills that hold up at the park, not just the kitchen
What's included
- Board-and-train packages
- Day-training drop-offs
- One-on-one private sessions
- Handoff session with you so the training sticks
- Written training notes after every session
How it works
- 1. Assessment
A 60–90 minute first session where we meet your dog, talk through goals, and build a training plan that fits your household.
- 2. Foundation work
We start with the reinforcement skills the rest of the plan depends on — name response, marker words, focus, and reward delivery.
- 3. Targeted skills
We layer in the cues and behaviors you actually need — recall, leash manners, place, polite greetings, or specific behavior work.
- 4. Real-world proofing
We practice in the yard, on the sidewalk, in the neighborhood, and around distractions so cues hold up outside the living room.
- 5. Handoff session
A working session with you — not just the dog — so the cues, timing, and rewards transfer cleanly. You leave with written notes.
Why it works
- Skills are practiced in a normal household, not a sterile training room.
- You learn the cues — not just the dog.
- Positive-reinforcement methods are safer and proven more effective.
What to bring
- Your dog's favorite high-value treats (we provide ours, but novel rewards help)
- Current leash, collar, and any harness you currently use
- A short list of the specific behaviors you want addressed
Pricing
Private sessions billed by the hour. Board-and-train packages are billed as a flat program rate that includes boarding, training, and the handoff session.
